Constantly having that “tip of the tongue” feeling, or being able to flesh out thoughts in your mind only to have them come stumbling out when you speak can be frustrating. Regular writing can keep this from happening.

The Haunted Mirror
Emily had just moved into her new home. She was excited to start a new life, but something seemed off about the house. In the quiet solitude of Emily's new home, an unsettling discovery awaited her. She couldn't put her finger on it until she noticed an old, dusty mirror in the corner of the bedroom. It was antique and the silver coating was fading, but it was beautiful, nonetheless. Emily hung it on the wall and thought nothing more of it, until one night when she looked into it and saw a reflection that wasn't her own. As she gazed into the full-length mirror in her dimly lit bedroom, a shiver ran down her spine. The reflection that stared back at her was not her own.

The song of the Cardinal
The snowy landscape stretched out before her, a canvas of white beauty. The silence of the landscape enveloped her, calming her mind. She had come here to escape. Every step she took left an imprint in the snow, marking her presence as she walked. She reveled in the ruggedness of the terrain, the untamed wildness of nature. It was a contrast to her own life.

The Fido saga
As a Canadian trying to navigate the world of technology, a world that is always progressing and changing, we have become reliant on our cellphones like never before. This said, we have become so reliant on our cellphones that items like landlines are no longer a common item in our households. Over the last 19 days, my experience with my cellphone company (Fido) has been wild, to say the very least. Fido has been one of many leading companies in Canada when it comes to cellphone providers. When Fido first entered the market, they were an individual company offering their own independent services to clients across Canada. Until they were purchased by Rogers in 2004 and it was all down hill from that point. Today, I find myself in a situation where I have been given the runaround for the past 19 days and counting. This article is a chance for me to advise all Canadians out there of the problems that the new Rogers/Shaw merger is causing customers across the nation. This is one example, although I am positive many across the country are going through similar situations.

The taco saga: *John Juan*
A couple of months ago, Ottawa became my new home as a new challenge awaited. Changing provinces can be a challenge, as you try to build your new home in a whole new city. So, as you try to settle in, exploring your surroundings is part of the fun. Before leaving my hometown of Montreal, there was a map on MTLBlog that showed a route of taco restaurants in and around Ottawa. So naturally, my goal was to try out each one of those restaurants. Because, obviously, tacos are life. For my first Mexican adventure, I found a little restaurant called John Juan Burrito Mexican Grill, an Ottawa based family-owned restaurant. This little gem is found on St. Laurent Boulevard, near the St. Laurent shopping center. They have a full menu of Mexican comfort food; burritos, tacos, and everything in between. Their set-up is a very casual and fun set-up with an open kitchen concept, which is always something to admire when thinking of a good (solid) restaurant.
