Daily Mail Made a Big Fail

Sometime yesterday Daily Fail, I mean Mail, made an article about the lovely Munroe Bergdorf and how she said, just as I did, that all white people benefit from privilege. As you will see, they used her words in the wrong context and used a past rant she made about the events in Charlottesville and the violence of white supremacists. When she was announced as the first transgender POC to be published model with L'Oreal, Daily Mail took it upon themselves to make her out to be a bad person. They used her rant as a means of why she was now fired as L'Oreal's model.

In response to this false hold, she stood her ground and made another public post about their so called report on the rant. I must say she deserves an award for her bravery. The backlash from, you guessed it, so-called white supporters continues to bash her appearance and for calling out the truth. I'm seriously appalled by all of those that feel some type of way with her speaking the truth. If I received a dime for how many people misgendered her and were just outright awful, I'd be quite wealthy right now. All of y'all should be ashamed of yourselves. Sometimes its better to read and listen before you let anything spill out of your mouth. Also for those that feel offended about someone saying all white people are racists or benefit from privilege. That's a problem you'll have to take up upon yourselves.

I would also like to speak on reverse racism... Do you honestly feel like that's actually a thing? I mean what POC out there isn't hiring you because you are white? It could very well be because you might have a felony on your record. But then if you are qualified and still have a felony, you'll more then likely get hired on over someone of color with the same thing. What about housing? Have you really been turned away or denied housing because you are white? Really? How about school? You think colleges are seriously helping BPOC and POC go to school for free? Please explain my student loans then. Please? If anything, explain how you, a white person can attend a HBCU for little to nothing and I have to pay, but I'm black? See how that sounds?

I figured I could clear up a few things in this matter, though a lot of you will ignore this whole post and won't read it. Or you'll call me a n***** quietly and safely behind your keyboards. Or just stop reading altogether from just reading the title. It happens and those people will continue to be ignorant in their ways and I can't help people with that. No matter how much I write, I'm wrong in their eyes.

Just because someone points out a problem such as racism does not mean that person is being racist. Pointing out a real racial problem does not mean that person is racist. No, POC cannot be racist towards yt people. The structural laws and other benefits of the yt race makes that impossible. We can obviously hurt your feelings... but that's about it. Also, how is it a problem to make these things public? How is it a divide in trying to fix this problem?

Again Ms. Munroe, I applaud you wholeheartedly for your bravery and continue support towards your success. I hope the world changes for the better and that we dismantle all of this sooner than later. It's time for a change. I look forward to my daughter growing up in a world where she won't be judged because she is black and a young lady.
