Why We March

Peaceful protest with hope.

To all those Trump supports who keep insisting we are “sore losers” and should get over it. Well, let me tell you this. We are disheartened by the loss. We are in shock, disgust, horror yes but that is not the reason we are acting this way.

Why we march is because we don’t like Trump’s policies, views, his actions and his many character weaknesses. These are just a few and there are many, more reasons we didn’t vote for him. We march to have our voices heard about the insane ban, the repeal of healthcare, civil freedoms, his relationship with Russia, his lies, and the list can go on and on.

It is our right as Americans to speak about what we don’t agree with and our right to march. Freedom of speech. This great democracy of ours deserves to be fought for and not tolerate the policies, racism, and bigotry to tarnish this great Nation that this administration considers it's acceptable. And-I always felt America was great!

Why we march- to uphold women’s rights which are human rights. To protect a woman's rights to choose what is best for her her own body.

To secure the LGBT rights and their way of living without prejudice and persecution.

We believe in civil rights for all no matter what their denomination is and who they worship.

To preserve our environment and we believe we all are entitled to clean water, air, and our public lands.

And last, we believe in immigrants' rights. It doesn’t matter what religion or region they originate from, they are people with families that love and hurt as we do and want something better for their children.

It doesn’t actually matter what you believe or think of us, know we will continue to be heard until we can bring back our Country and restore it once more as the vibrant strong loving Nation that we once were before Trump spewed his tirade of fear and hate.

At the base of The Statue of Liberty, these words ring out.

“Give me your tired, your poor, your huddled masses yearning to breathe free, the wretched refuse of your teeming shore. Send these, the homeless, tempest-tossed to me, I lift my lamp beside the golden door”.

This is why we march.
