New Politics for a New Generation! The Proposition of a New Political Party to Take on the Traditional Establishment

Millennials, that's what we are branded. Snowflakes, too politically correct and too easily offended. Always complaining, a lost generation! A generation plagued by crippling student debt, loans spent on degrees preparing us for obsolete jobs and rising interest rates mixed with the lack of affordable homes.

I disagree! We are not a generation defined by weak minds and weaker actions. We are the future! For too long this country has been run by people so out of touch with the plight of the daily struggle. They are ignorant of the difficulties our generation will face without savings, pensions or security.

Have you seen the daily headlines? The stories showcasing the childish arguments that our so-called leaders are having. Our parliament members are little better than squabbling school children fighting in the playground. How does England expect to be taken seriously on the world stage? Our own leaders do not even show their office and position the reverence it deserves!

For too long we have accepted the system. A system that has been in place for hundreds of years. Politicians from privileged backgrounds outlining our futures for us. Aloof from the impact of their decisions. Keeping us distracted by pitting us off against each other. Political parties are meant to represent the people. They are meant to provide a method of enriching the lives of the masses. Not provide a means of generating profit for one’s personal gain.

The time has come for a new party to come to the foreground. A party comprised of the young that will ignore the traditions of old. A party that will not be mired by corruption, inequality or selfishness.

This will not be an easy task. We are sure to be opposed at every juncture. The establishment does not like change. However, change is already upon us. We have the tools at our disposal. Social media gives the ability to reach people on an unprecedented scale. It allows the public to reach their own conclusions without relying upon the traditional media. The media is largely controlled by the government, designed only to mislead and push propaganda.

This era of new possibility should not be wasted. This chance to form a new party should be seized, and with it the opportunity to make England a beacon for generations to come.

Please do not confuse this as another inward looking populist party plea, the only aim to banish the unfamiliar. No, quite the opposite. The Millennial Party will look outwards. Only by integration can we advance. Other nations, cultures and ideas should be embraced.

Our world is heading for disaster. Climate change, deforestation, and pollution are the true enemies of our era. Not immigration, war and religion. We are the many, governed by the few. The few are no longer effective.

How will we bring about change? First the message must be spread! Share this article to help to advocate change.

Funding must be raised from the masses as traditional methods of investment will not be granted. Those who control the country’s wealth will see it slip from their fingers if our party gains momentum.

If this message is read by 1 million readers or more, the electoral commission will be contacted and the Millennial Party will be officially formed.

We will raise campaign finance from crowd funding websites. A truly modern approach for a modern party. The manifesto will be drafted in earnest and we will use the next 4 years to gain popularity. We will see if we can truly change a corrupt, decaying society.

The older generation calls us Millennials and we will wear that label with pride. However if we fail to act, if we fail to disrupt the way things are and will continue to be, what will the future generations call us?
