The self-dubbed "Megulators" or "Sussex Squad" have now officially crossed the line. Two days before news broke that fans of Meghan Markle threatened to kill a woman, hacked into her bank account, and stole her money, I wrote a story asking if Markle's fans were crossing a line and now they have. On December 5, it was reported that a woman and her sister's lives had been threatened by fans of Meghan Markle.
Cristina Cain, 41, a publicist who previously represented Meghan’s estranged half-sister Samantha Markle says certain Megulators have threatened to kill her and made her feel like she is being "watched" every second of her day. Cristina recently spoke out about her experience, talking about how she and her sister Trina, 47, were subjected to vile personal and professional slurs and claimed the "highly sophisticated trolls" even stole from their bank accounts after hacking their computers.
These people did this all in the name of Meghan Markle. If somebody says anything negative about Meghan Markle, her fans—who believe they are her defenders—attack. They attack, no questions asked, even if what was said wasn't even that's bad. They jump on all the people who say negative things about Meghan Markle, calling them bullies and racists. yet they do the exact same thing. Except now they are breaking the law. They hacked into a woman's computer and stole her money all because she was a publicist agent who represented Meghan's father and half sister. Her crime, in the eyes of the Megulators, was just doing her job.
Meghan Markle has been the subject of a lot of drama since her royal marriage to Prince Harry last year, but things only seem to be getting worse. From her inappropriate outfits, to the over use of PDA and the lack of respect for the Royal Family and their protocols. Not to mention, her first solo project as a member of the Royal Family will be her cookbook for the Hubb Kitchen that is based out a mosque that has allegedly produced numerous terrorists. And finally, we cannot forget all of her family drama that still continues to this day.
People are entitled to their own opinion, and in countries that have freedom of speech, they are allowed to express their opinion. But what you can't do is threaten to kill somebody if they say something bad about somebody you like. Just because Meghan Markle is in the Royal Family does not mean people aren't allowed to have certain opinions of her. If she didn't want all of these things said about her then she shouldn't have become an actress in the first place. All people who go into the acting career, or show business in general, know that there are going to be people who don't like you and are going to say bad things about you. That's just how life is in general, too; you don't need to be famous for people to say bad things about you or have certain negative feelings about you. That's just how the world is, but what we can't do is threaten to kill them or hack into their bank account to steal their money. This line can't be uncrossed, and all we can do is wait to see how it all plays out.
