Dear Donald...

Dear Donald, it is with a heavy heart that I write this open letter to you.

I initially thought your behaviour on the campaign trail was all showmanship and deliberate bravado, and when you because President, this would change. I wrote several pieces on your behaviour at the time running up to the election, berating your insulting comments and boorish verbal attacks on Hillary Clinton and women in general.

Again, I hoped that once in office, we would see a Reaganesque type of figure emerge from the sound and fury of the election campaign. Again, I have been disappointed.

Not only haven't you grown into this most important role, you have become a danger to world stability. You have made President Putin look like a beacon for common sense and made America a laughing stock.

There seems to be no limit to the astoundingly crass comments on a large number of issues. Nothing you say makes any sense to anyone except yourself and I'm not sure you even know what you're talking about!

You have allowed laws pertaining to the environment to be changed to make it easier for corporations to destroy beautiful landscapes for their own unrelenting greed. Instead of trying to protect the land from being raped by already hugely wealthy individuals and corporations, you have declared open season on anything your friends wish to destroy. Wildlife, land and waterways. Nothing is sacred anymore.

You appear to have no empathy for the poor and disadvantaged, casting them aside like used condoms. You may not know this, but the poor are human beings with the same rights as you regarding their health and wellbeing. I'm beginning to think you and your insane bunch of clowns masquerading as cabinet members think the poor and needy are subhuman. Some annoying species which you would be happy to see eradicated.

You are someone who is impressed by flattery. Your huge but fragile ego needs to be stroked at all times. And if someone disagrees with your opinion, you lash out like a tantrum throwing toddler. This is not what I or anyone else expects from the President of the United States of America.

As I live outside the USA, I can only watch with increasing horror at the way you handle foreign affairs. Your heavy handed "diplomacy" is only causing already bad situations to become worse. Geography, history and well, any other subject seem to have passed you by in the course of your life. Many small children and "poor" people have intelligence which would put you to shame.

Having billions of dollars is no guarantee of making a person aware or even interested in what is happening in the rest of the world. You must have skipped the "how to be human" classes.

For your country to have elected someone who is so unaware of the most simple protocols of the Office of President of the USA, shows either your showmanship dazzled normal human beings into voting for you, or the majority of your supporters are complete idiots! I tend to favour the latter.

In closing this letter to you Donald, I consider you a disgrace to the Office of President of the United States of America. Your behaviour is akin to rampaging water buffalo in a pigeon loft. Utter chaos for no apparent reason. You have no decorum and less charm, and appear to become less stable on a daily, if not hourly basis.

PS. Please give your smartphone to a responsible adult, before you cause a situation which cannot be reversed.
