Healing Is Not a Yoga Pose
One thing that I cannot stand about this "inspiration culture" that millennials have created is that we beautify healing. My generation has made everyone (mostly each other, really) believe that it’s so easy to heal. While it’s liberating to finally be rid of something terrible that consumed your life for so long, it’s also extremely brutal to recover and stay disconnected from it. For me, it’s so weird to not live in the extreme anymore because that used to be my entire life. At one point, I dedicated myself to it. Now, I’m out and away from it, but I’m still trying to process all of it. I'm still trying to recover.

Gillette's New Ad Is Infuriating Both Men AND Women
Gillette came out with a new ad the other day… and it’s driving people completely up the wall. It focused on the fact that toxic masculinity is still a huge issue and that if we want the future generation of men to be great, we need to stop excusing bad behavior. It doesn't mean that all men physically, sexually, or even verbally attack each other, but a lot of men do sit back and do nothing. That in itself is toxic masculinity and it adds to the problem. They pointed out that there’s still a huge issue with this domino effect of bullying, harassment, and blatant sexism and their message is that men can do better. That they don't need to act like this and they need to stand up to the ones that do. It shows that men also need to teach little boys who are going to be the men of tomorrow to always act decent, responsible, and not like animals. To always do the right thing even when it's not exactly easy or convenient.

You can’t afford her content right now, but you still want to make sure she’s got the support she deserves in another way. We get it. Finding other ways to supports us is not an excuse to not pay, but in one way or another, you can at least do something else. Transphobia in GameStop
I was on Twitter this morning and saw this video come up in my timeline of a trans-woman infuriated with some employees in a Gamestop store. From what I can see, she was trying to return her game, clearly frustrated with it for whatever reason. But what didn't help was that she was met with a couple people misgendering her. I’m sure there were also contributing factors to her frustration before this; however, the attention should be completely focused on the discrimination she was getting. I understand there will and can be accidents where people will honestly misgender someone. It happens, especially if a cis-gendered person doesn’t genuinely know if someone is trans or not. A lot of times people can understand that someone is trans based on appearance alone, but it wasn’t like this woman was dressed masculine at all. Sure, she is tall, her voice is deep, she's muscular, and she's not petite, but you can see that she's trying to outwardly express her gender. You can see that she was dressed feminine and she had makeup on. You can see that she's trying to show that she's a woman despite the masculine features she was born with. Yet she was still being called "sir." She corrected these two people several times but they still continued.

Even Short Time Nationalists Have a Story to Tell
It bothers me when I hear people talk about short-time former members of far-right extremism like they have no authenticity. That they are not aware of what the movement was about. That they don’t know what they are talking about. That they could be of no help. I don’t understand this mentality. You don’t go to a military veteran that was only in for a short time and say they don’t know what they’re talking about. Or someone that was in a cult that they don’t know what they’re talking about. So why do it to former extremists, especially when they come out of something brutal and want to tell the world what they know? Why do it to people who just want to be useful to bring about peace?

What is a sex worker? When people think about what a sex worker is, they immediately think about an escort; but that’s only one type. "Sex worker" is just an umbrella term for anyone who performs and makes a living in the sex industry. A stripper is also considered a sex worker along with a bikini dancer, cam girl, nude or erotic model, phone sex operator, professional dominatrix (which is a branch of being an escort), film star, findomme, etc. Sometimes a sex worker performs in the industry out of necessity and survival. Sometimes a sex worker does it because they enjoy their work and want to make a career out of it. While you see it mostly being a female-orientated job, both men and women be sex workers.

When I think about what anchored me down to my former beliefs, I realized that it wasn't only because I was a broken, vulnerable person running on learned behavior, it was because I wanted to be a part of something bigger. I thought I found home in the Alt-Right. A place where I can make history for my people to finally flourish and take back what I thought was ours. At the time, I didn’t really value myself and I knew that the world wasn’t going to remember me as an individual. So in order to be what I thought was important, I wanted to do anything in my power for my people and the movement in order for us to be back on top. I wanted to be a part of something "great" and familiar because I felt like the rest of society was constantly shitting on me for being white, for coming from a conservative background, for being different. I was constantly without fail treated like the enemy.
