Brexit: Remembering the Queen Mother in Times of Uncertainty in Britain
Anyone who is a close follower of British politics knows that it would be an understatement to say that the United Kingdom is staring boldly in the face of instability and disunity due to the handling of Brexit negotiations. Parliament has squandered nearly all of their time since the 2016 referendum when the British people voted to leave the European Union. Instead of working in a unified matter to find a solution, which would allow Britain to exit on good terms with the EU and maintain stability in Britain.

This Just In: Tea Leaves Are Great for House Plants!
In an effort to be more conscious of my usage and waste production, I have sought different ways I can reuse every day expendables. Of course, recycling and composting has become a primary part of my everyday practice, but there was one thing that was bothering me: What to do with my used tea leaves? I felt as if there was something more that could be done, when all the delicious and nutritious leaf juices have been extracted from the leaves. So I took to the internet, as one does in today’s day in age and looked for some ways that I could make the most out of my tea leaves!

Dear England, Why Don’t You Want Me?
To my beloved United Kingdom, I have so many beautiful memories of you from my childhood, spending my summers in Windsor with my second cousins. I remember waking up every morning, looking out into the sky and staring in wonderment as my view was eclipsed with a picturesque view of Windsor Castle in the skyline. I remember my auntie taking me on a boat ride on the Thames river and when it was all over she’d tell me about the Tower Bridge in London and I proclaimed I would climb it one day.

True Tea Culture
Tea is the most consumed beverage in the world after water. In Britain, it’s a part of our daily lives and has played an essential role in shaping British society as it exists today. That being said, tea is a very personal experience. How do you take your tea? With milk? Sugar? Which one comes first? Some say milk while others say tea. Each cuppa is designed to meet the specifications of the person who’ll be enjoying it. While tea is a staple in our culture and various other cultures around the world, one question remains prominent: Do you prefer bagged tea or loose leaf tea?

'Mary, Queen of Scots:' Facts From Fiction
As a historian and English history fanatic, it’s kind of my job to know the truth about subjects such as the Queen of Scots, Elizabeth I and the Tudors, which are so often portrayed in film and media, so as to dispel any misconceptions about them. We live in an age where people are getting their history lessons from movies and television shows and that is just not okay! I am aware that when producing a film about a historical event, period of time or particular characters that artistic liberties must sometimes be taken in order to captivate and engage audiences in a dynamic storyline. Sometimes the cold hard facts (for most people) just don’t make an interesting enough story to be considered a box office best seller. However, for someone like myself, historical accuracy can make or break the experience.
