How I Learned One of My Former Friends Was a Sociopath and How I Broke Free from Her Grip
We all have had that one friend that our parents warn us about. You know, the friend that really doesn't give a damn about you or your own well-being. I've been there as a young adult. Rebecca was that friend. It took the unnecessary stress of being in her wedding for me to realize that a former friend of mine was a sociopath. Did I find out the hard way? Yes. I found out for the better, which did me a huge favor in the long run. Did she break me? No. Sometimes, bullies and fake friends make you, not break you.

Why the Death Penalty Is 100% Justified, Forty-Nine Years After One of the Most Infamous Acts of Domestic Terrorism
When we think of the death penalty, there are only two types of opinions. The first type views capital punishment as hypocritical and inhumane, which is understandable. The second viewpoint is that punishment by death is justified and fair in cases of murder and terrorism. One case that got people talking about the death penalty was the infamous Manson Family case; this case is now considered an act of domestic terrorism. Do mass murder and domestic terrorism warrant capital punishment? Yes they do, as this can be seen as a justified punishment for crimes that are horrific beyond belief. Human life cannot be compensated for with money or other materialistic items. Nor will it ever be.

One Year After I Started Dating My Boyfriend, Who Was My Friend, I Truly Found Myself
We all have bad relationships, and I was not in the best place before I started dating my current boyfriend, Freddy. I was dating a guy I'll call Stefan. It was a regrettable experience for a first relationship, for a lack of a better description. I was ashamed to be seen in public with him because of his inappropriate behavior; when he'd act out, nothing was off-limits. On top of that, NONE of my friends liked Stefan because "he acts like a clown." Also, I was surrounded by crazy people who loved to make others miserable nonstop; what was once a relationship I was apart of had become equivalent to a nuclear war zone, and it was sad. Long story short, I put up with too much from people who were far from normal, and it just felt like I was involved in a war that wasn't worth fighting. (98.7, thank you for constantly playing "Dreams" by Fleetwood Mac constantly. Dy the way, "Dreams" (1977) is the ORIGINAL breakup diss track.) It drove me insane and I just straight-up shattered one day. Yeah, Stefan stopped talking to me at the request of someone who makes Cersei Lannister look as innocent as Alice in Wonderland, but I was in for the best part of the biggest slap in the face three months later.

I Knew a Psychopath — Before I Knew What Psychopathy Was
Author’s Notes: This is solely from childhood experience. Individuals’ names have been changed for privacy. The saying “mothers know best” can be applicable in various scenarios, as any sane and functioning mother often has naturally instinctive tendencies. This holds true not just in animals, but with humans as well. How else would we know when our lives are in danger and how to react? Without them, how would any human being know that something is wrong? We wouldn’t be able to comprehend a dangerous scenario if there was no such thing as human intuition. Instinctive tendencies are often the most powerful tool given to women throughout the process of evolution, especially mothers. Wherever there’s smoke, it is guaranteed that there will be fire. From a psychological perspective, this saying has held true for millennia.

1994 Executive Murders: UnsolvedTop Story - September 2017
1994 was a landmark year filled with news and pop culture events that made the world nearly stop turning. The Lion King, starring James Earl Jones, Jonathan Taylor Thomas, and Whoopi Goldberg, graced the big screen, winning several Academy Awards. The hit teen action-adventure drama Cowboy Bebop had won its fourth consecutive Viewers’ Choice Award, tying with Beavis and Butthead. The Nickelodeon teen improv sitcom that made Melissa Joan Hart a household name, Clarissa Explains It All, had ended. OJ Simpson had led police officers on a car chase in his white Ford Bronco for nearly five hours; his trial was not only prosecuted by the late Vincent Bugliosi, and had received more publicity than when he put Charles Manson behind bars on live television twenty-six years earlier. Nancy Kerrigan was clubbed in the knee by her rival Tonya Harding’s former boyfriend. Jacqueline Onassis Kennedy, a former First Lady and prominent figure in the disabilities community, passed away. There would be one event that would shock the world as much as the trial of OJ Simpson: the infamous Executive Murders. The circumstances were so gruesome, and to this day, the case has never been solved.
